We’re opening our next show to the creativity of our community.
Calliope Stage is seeking a local artist to design the official poster for The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane—a story rooted in love, loss, and transformation.
Whether you’re a student, emerging artist, or seasoned designer, we invite you to share your voice and vision.
Selected artist receives $100 and their work featured across all show materials.

This call is open to local artists, designers, students, and creatives of all experience levels. You do not need professional experience to participate.

You will create an original 11” x 14” vertical poster for Calliope Stage’s production of The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.

Your poster must include:
“Calliope Stage” (clearly visible)
The title: The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane
Directed by Ashlee Wasmund
Performance dates
Location: 513 Mill Street
The Calliope Stage logo
A designated space for a QR code
A space for a website link

All submissions are due by Monday, April 13 at 5:00pm EST.

Submit your design through the Google Form:

Please submit your design as a PDF, JPG, or PNG in 11” x 14” vertical format.

If your design is selected, Calliope Stage will contact you via email by April 17.
You will also be asked to provide:
A 4x4 version for social media
A simplified vertical version for web use
A resize of the original design for the playbill

The selected artist will receive a $100 honorarium, and their design will be used as the official show poster.

Yes. Your design should include all the performance dates provided in the call, but they may be reduced to general date ranges without specific times.
