Our downtown space at 513 Mill Street is designed to be more than a venue—it is a flexible, welcoming hub for creativity, connection, and shared experience. Calliope Stage Company is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to producing engaging, community-centered theatre and arts programming while fostering opportunities for artists and audiences in Western North Carolina.
Our space reflects that mission: A creative home for performances, rehearsals, and artistic exploration An educational environment for workshops, youth programming, and skill-building A community gathering space for events, conversations, and connection As outlined in our building planning work, this space is intentionally designed to balance artistic programming with community access—serving both as a cultural hub and a resource that supports the sustainability of our organization through rentals.
