VOLUNTEER USHERS NEEDED
Calliope Stage Company is seeking friendly, reliable volunteer ushers to help welcome audiences for our upcoming production of The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.
Our Front of House team plays a vital role in shaping the audience experience. From the moment patrons walk through the door, ushers help create the warmth, care, and sense of community that Calliope is known for.

As a volunteer usher, you may:
Greet and welcome patrons as they arrive
Assist with seating and help manage audience flow
Support concessions and merchandise sales
Answer basic questions and help orient guests in the space
Help ensure a smooth and positive experience before, during, and after the performance

Volunteers are asked to sign up for one or more performance shifts
Please plan to arrive 45 minutes before curtain
Stay through the end of the performance and assist with light post-show reset
Performance Dates
May 22 – May 31, 2026
(Various evening and matinee performances available)

No prior experience required—just a welcoming attitude and a willingness to help

Stage Crew (Stipend Position)
Compensation: stipend
We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Stage Crew members to support Calliope Stage’s upcoming production of the ‘Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane’. This is a great opportunity for students, emerging artists, or community members interested in gaining hands-on experience working behind the scenes in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Assisting with set, prop, and furniture moves during rehearsals and performances
Supporting load-in, strike, and technical rehearsals
Running backstage crew tracks during performances
Assisting with prop organization and maintenance
Helping maintain a safe, organized backstage space
Following cues and instructions from the Stage Manager

Interest in backstage or technical theatre work
No prior experience required; training provided
Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team
Dependability and punctuality
Availability for the full production period
This stipend-based position is ideal for students building practical theatre experience, community members looking to get involved, or anyone curious about backstage production work.

Performances: May 22nd-25th and May 29th-31st
